God Has the Last Word

A friend shared with me his testimony to today. It was a story I knew all to well. I had experience it myself. And I thought of countless others who could relate. It made me think of David in the Bible. People always ask me, “Who’s you favorite person in the Bible?” or “Who do you relate to most? “. I know that God has called me to an Esther. But, David is dear to me. The Story of David is a remarkable tale of God’s love toward us.

God called David a man after God's own heart & yet there are times we read the Bible where He sinned. Like many of us, David was called to do great things for God, but He sinned.
David committed adultery with Bathsheba. He also put Uriah at the front of the battle in war so that Uriah would die and he would be able to marry Bathsheba.

Sometimes we loose or way... we forget who we are... our purpose...and fall in to traps of the enemy. God hates the sin, but NEVER stops loving you!!! If we are not careful, we will condemn ourselves. And let satan (the accuser of the brethren) torment us. Don't listen 2 that liar! The devil is the father of all lies! God hasn't given up on you not one bit!!! He will love you through your process

Just as God used David, God can still use you! It is never too late. You're not too old to be used by God. We all have a purpose. And as long as breath exists in your body, there is purpose to be still fulfilled. There is a people that only you can touch. Your pain, and yes even your mistakes, are all part of the process for you becoming the person God has design you to be. God had a plan for you, when you were in your mother’s womb. Your mistake cannot cancel that out.

It is not over till God says it's over. Don't beat yourself up. Repent. Align yourself back to God's will. And watch God restore. Goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life.
God is truly a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Saul became Paul. Abram became Abraham (father of many nations). Sarai (who sinned in the Garden of Eden) became Sarah (Mother of Many nations). What is your new name? How does God see you? Seek God and find out. God specializes in transformations!!! Let him transform you.

With all God’s love,

Nikki

Phenomenal Woman by Maya Angelou

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It's the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can't touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can't see.
I say,
It's in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I'm a woman

Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Now you understand
Just why my head's not bowed.
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It's in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need of my care,
'Cause I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Though time and society changes, God and your own worth stay the same

After my divorce, I made the decision to not date. I prayed, “Father, put me on a shelf and take me off only when you see fit.” I did not want to be a serial dater, that’s not my thing. My desire was to be in a place in Christ where when that set time came and God brought me my Boaz, / Adam, I would be discerning enough to choose correctly.

Several years went by, during that time my focus on growing in God and raising my son. Only recently, I have begun my re-experience with dating. There is an education that one receives when not having dating in a while. 15 years + later, society and its values have changed drastically.

Though time and society changes, God and your own worth stay the same. I want to encourage those who are dating to trust God. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. The more time you spend with God, the more you learn about His character. God is faithful, dependable, loving, patience, wise, a provider, forgiving, merciful, and more. The list goes on. God is awesome! There is no one like Him! It’s from those traits that you look for in a mate. Being a very new Christian when I first married, I did not give myself time to as they say “finishing backing in the oven first.” Preparations is so key in life. We prepare for everything else, but often fail to plan for dating, relationships, or marriage. Take time to know God for yourself and let Him also reveal to you who you are. A Woman or man who know who they are in Christ , their true worth, and their destiny makes wiser choices in every area of their life; including choosing a life-long mate.

As we get older, the enemy attempts to tricks us into settling hoping to detour us form our purpose and destiny. As I said in my introduction on this blog, this blog is about heart felt truth and encouragement. I am a Christian woman who loves God and desires to please God. However, just as satan can whisper in my ear to settle, he can whisper in yours too.

You may find yourself in a situation where you have let satan whisper in your ear too long and now find you have settled for “Mr. Right Now”, instead of waiting on “Mr. God’s Best”. No condemnation. I have done the same. Lesson learned. Dust yourself and keep moving.

We have to be wiling to let go of a dead thing, to receive what God has for us. Some of us had heard that still small voice saying, "Let that man go". But, we hold on for fear of being alone. Be obedient and let go of the “Mr. Right Now” who you know is not right for you. Instead, trust God and watch Him send “Mr. God’s Best” in due season.

Don't believe lies from the pit of hell that say you're too old; it’s never going happen, and so forth. God does not see you that way and your “Mr. God’s Best” will not either! Trust that God is has saved someone tailored made just for you. Trust that what God has for you is exceedingly above all you can ask or think. That's just how our Daddy Abba Father does it. Isn’t God awesome? ! Don't let a man not worthy of your greatness take up the space for where you coming Boaz/ Adam should be. In the meantime, seek God & become all that God has created you to be. Be Whole. Be secure. Be prepared.

XOXOXOXOX,

Nikki
